“Healthy soil equals healthy plants equals healthy animals equals healthy people.”
— Gabe Brown
We run a small country estate where everyday life is largely shaped by the work with our animals.
We try to live and work in a way that allows nature's processes to be the starting point,
and where solutions emerge through observation, practice, and experience rather than fixed systems.
A large part of what we do is about finding simple routines that support the soil, the animals, and our own daily lives.
We primarily work with sheep and goats, and we utilize the resources that arise along the way, such as meat, milk, wool, manure, and experiences, as much as possible ourselves.
Mistakes are a natural part of the process, and we see them as something that helps us move forward instead of holding us back.
Here we share what we learn along the way. Not as ready-made answers, but as concrete examples of how one can begin to work more attentively with the place one has.
We hope this can give you the courage to take the first steps, whether you dream of more self-sufficiency or simply want to take better care of your land and your everyday life.
